Strictly good fun as TV dancer Natalie drops in at Keynsham fitness class

A Keynsham fitness class had a ball as they were put through their paces by a former star of TV’s Strictly Come Dancing.

Professional dancer Natalie Lowe joined Fitsteps instructor Amy Vickery at Wellsway Sports Centre to host a masterclass in the ballroom-inspired exercise routines.

Sixty people aged from 20 to 81 attended the session, which saw Natalie teach the group basic posture, the key steps from both ballroom and Latin and demonstrate how to get the best from the workout, before leading a Fitsteps class in the second half of the session.

Amy said: “Everyone thoroughly enjoyed the masterclass and the feedback I've received has been brilliant. They all commented on how lovely and genuine Natalie Lowe is. She has such a passion for dance and wants as many people as possible to share that passion and enjoy dance like she does and gain fitness and health benefits while doing so.

“Having Natalie visit also reignited my passion and I couldn’t wait to get back to my own Fitsteps classes and pass on the knowledge I’d learned from her and help everyone ‘dance themselves fit’.”

Natalie co-created Fitsteps and Fitsteps FAB (For All Bodies – for less active participants) with fellow Strictly pro Ian Waite and former Olympic swimmer Mark Foster and is currently touring the UK to host masterclasses.
