Work to tackle pot holes and repair the road surface will be carried out on a stretch of Bath Hill in Keynsham next week following pleas from residents.

Work to tackle pot holes and repair the road surface will be carried out on a stretch of Bath Hill in Keynsham next week following pleas from residents.

The work, between Avon Mill Lane and the High Street /Temple St roundabout, been brought forward by Bath and North East Somerset Council as a result of requests from members of the public, and will take place overnight between 7pm and 6am on the following dates: Thursday, April 9, Friday, April 10, and, if required, Saturday, April 11.

The council is writing to all local residents and businesses likely to be affected.  During the work, vehicles will not be able to access Bath Hill, between Avon Mill Lane and the High Street / Temple Street roundabout, though emergency access will be available at all times

Pedestrian access to Bath Hill will remain open, and the car parks in the area are free between 6pm and 8am for residents to use while the night works take place.

A spokesperson said: "The council appreciates that this work will cause a degree of disruption and would like to thank local residents for their patience.

"Contractors ERH Communications are working closely with the council to maintain access to properties and keep disruption to a minimum."
