Has Keynsham got talent? That's the question being asked by organisers of the town’s farmers’ market as they look for local acts to entertain shoppers.

Buskers are being urged to get in touch with market managers to perform at the monthly event in its new location at Market Walk.

Stallholders set up their familiar green and white striped canopies on the pedestrian area in front of the gold buildings of the Civic Centre for the first time in February – and the move has been hailed a success.

A spokesperson for Somerset Farmers’ Markets said hundreds visited the new location on February 14, adding:  “Feedback was that they were delighted by the new location, range of produce available and easy access to the car park and cashpoint machine. In fact, the only changes to be made for next month are widening the walkways between the rows of canopies to create more room for customers to browse.

“New additions to the market included hot street food options with local chefs White Heat cooking up local pork belly and Little Jack Horner’s Gourmet hot sausage rolls – very popular on a chilly February day.

“There is room to expand even more and create more of a ‘wow’ factor each month and attract more people into Keynsham to shop.”

Any buskers who would like to be considered for a slot at Keynsham Farmers’ Market can get in touch on 01373 814646.

The next market takes place on Saturday, March 14. For more information, visit www.somersetfarmersmarkets.co.uk/Keynsham.
