A group of amateur photographers are inviting people to take a look at Keynsham through their eyes with an exhibition at the town’s library.

The display is the result of a project called Snap and Stroll, which encourages better mental health through photography. Participants learn some digital photography skills and then use them to capture both natural and man-made sights around the town – from familiar landmarks to the tiniest details.

Sessions were held at Community@67 and facilitated by local participatory photography organisation In the Picture CIC. The group had the chance to discuss their work, take part in group activities, edit their images and finally display their photos in a curated exhibition.

Keynsham: Through a Lens is on show at Keynsham Library, on the Art Wall, from April 1 to April 8.

The Snap and Stroll project was funded by Creativity Works and Bath College’s Community Learning Service and supported by Sirona care and health.
