Sharp new look for Saltford's Morris' Barber Shop after fire

A Saltford barber is celebrating being back in business in his own premises after a fire gutted the building at the start of August.
Morris Mercato reopened the doors of Morris’ Barber Shop in Bath Road on September 26 after several weeks of refurbishment, during which he ran his business from a temporary building on the forecourt at neighbouring BOS Leisure.
The shop has been given a new look by Saltford firm Mobius Works, with brighter colours, bigger mirrors and more space inside, and customers have praised the changes, says Morris.
He said: “It has been a stressful time but I’m really happy with the way the shop looks and glad to be back inside. I want to say thank you to Martin from BOS Leisure for allowing us to use the car park for the Portakabin – without that we would have been in trouble – and to Mobius Works for helping me out from the beginning.
“My customers deserve a massive thank you for the brilliant support they have given me – as do my staff for putting up with me over the past few weeks!”
Morris opened the barber’s in the village 12 years ago and has now been joined by son Nico, who is doing his apprenticeship working at the shop alongside his dad and fellow staff member Alex Gaulton.
