Residents' chance to have say on 20mph proposals for Keynsham streets

Now is the time to have your say on proposals to introduce a 20mph speed limit on roads in Keynsham.

The consultation on the plans by Bath and North East Somerset Council runs until Thursday, March 28, and a decision on whether to give the go-ahead will be made after this deadline.

Councillor Roger Symonds (Lib-Dem, Combe Down), Cabinet Member for Transport, said, “The council wants to improve road safety on streets across the area, including Keynsham. Part of our plans includes introducing 20mph limits in communities that want them.

"We have made some changes to the Keynsham proposals since the last consultation. I hope that people take this opportunity to have their say.”

Following an initial consultation, additional roads have been included in the scheme: Charlton Road extending from the High Street to Park Close junction, Bath Road extending from Bath Hill to Chandag Road junction, Wellsway extending from Bath Hill to 70 metres north of its junction with Chewton Road, and Avon Mill Lane.
