Corey collects Santa Dash cash on behalf of cancer charities

Many of the people who helped the Saltford Santa Dash return last December gathered at a celebration to see the money raised handed over to two good causes.
Supporters including local businesses and private sponsors as well as the many volunteers behind the event attended a presentation evening at Saltford Golf Club on February 26.
Saltford teenager Corey Clifton accepted a cheque for £9,654 from Santa Dash representative Roger Spooner on behalf of Clic Sargent and the Ellen MacArthur Cancer Trust, which both support youngsters with cancer.
Mr Spooner thanked everyone for the funds, services and expertise that helped the dash, in which hundreds of runners dressed in Santa suits followed a route around the village, return for its second year.
He said: “As with the first dash in 2013, once again there was an amazing response to this local event and yes there will be a 2015 Saltford Santa Dash so book Sunday, December 6, in your diary.
“If you would like to offer assistance in any way, please email firstname.lastname@example.org. You will receive a very warm welcome.”
